Hi all,
Sorry for the non-bloginess for a while. Have been ultra-busy at work. Plus my PC stopped working and I am still trying to fix it, which is a real pain in the arse.
Hope you have all had a Cool Yule.
Had a very busy time, lots of people in and out, so am knackered. I need a week off from cooking that's for sure. I think I have prepared something like 4 full buffets, 1 Christmas lunch, loads of breakfasts and untold numbers of drinks.
Today though is a quiet day thank goodness. We decided to have a kind of 'Open House' for New Year, but no-one can make it, we did leave it a bit late to ask people I guess, either that or we're just billy no mates.
Anyhoo, we shall be seeing the New Year in with a bottle of fizz up on the roof where we can watch all the fireworks going off over the town, which is really nice, then tomorrow we're off and planning a nice long walk on the beach to try and burn off the millions of calories that we've consumed mostly in crisps, dips and German biscuits.......
I have the rest of the week off, which I am really looking forward to. I haven't had much time off since June so can really do with a break. I am planning on doing some creative planning for new things in the New Year so watch this space.
Tatty Bye.

Wind and Rain and lovely slippers........
Well, the weather here has been absolutely awful. Terrible wind and rain. However on Friday night, the Old Town shops were open for late night shopping and so we braved the wind and the driving rain and toodled off to support the local shops. Unfortunately because of the weather not as many were open as we'd hoped but I did go into The Lilac Room which is one of my favs, mainly because of the NoaNoa clothing, but I bought a pair of rather gorgeous Ruby and Ed slippers that I had been coveting for some time. Will post pic later.
Then off to Made In Hastings where we had some Cava and Cassis with some Lebkuchen - yummy, and I bought a few bits including a lovely handpainted tamborine for my neice and a little picture of a rabbit with some knitting needles for myself by the very talented Claire Fletcher. Then off for a meal in Fagins.
Saturday and we went for a delicious brunch at Pomegranate, they do the best Eggs Benedict ever and a mighty fine German Breakfast which is a big omelette with potato, bacon, onion and gerkins, sounds odd, but it's scrummy!
I don't want you to think that we eat out all the time, we don't, but you've got to treat yourself every now and then haven't you?
As for Christmas, well I have done a little shopping. Those of you that know me reasonably well, will know that it's not my favourite time and I'd much rather be away in snowy Sweden in a log cabin :-)
Anyway, toodlepip.
